OUR BELIEFS
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired, that it has God as its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. And, is the standard by which we are to live and govern our lives by (Timothy 3:15-16; Matthew 22:29).
GOD
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is JEHOVAH, and He eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Matthew 28:19; Colossians 2:9).
JESUS
We believe in Jesus Christ, that He is God's only begotten Son, God with us, perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world; that He died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead. And, He was fully human and is fully God. He is seated in heaven with the Father and ever lives to intercede on our behalf. And, He will soon return and rapture His church. (Matthew 1:22-23; Romans 1:3-4; Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. He was given to live in us, dwell with us and empower us. According to scripture the Holy Spirit is become our comforter, helper and guide; He keeps us, convicts both the sinner as well as the saint of sin. And, at the same time keeps the believer saved; He empowers us to be a witness to the world about the saving power of Jesus Christ (John 14:16-18; Ephesians 5:18; Romans 8:15; Acts 1:8).
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is the free gift; given by God to be received by each individual. Salvation is obtained through faith or belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that it is the personal choice of each person to receive the free gift of salvation. Because it is a gift it cannot be earned, but only received. And, it is God's desire that no one die and live eternally apart from Him but His desire is that every person receive the free gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9; John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8; II Peter 3:9).
RAPTURE
We believe Christ will descend from heaven and literally rapture the universal church. All who died as believers in Christ will ascend first and those who presently believe and are alive will follow, we will live with God forever in heaven in a holy and happy state, free from sin and sorrow, in a state of eternal peace and joy (I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:3-5).
